Be the 'Witty Multi-Tasker'

All progress occurs because people dare to be different!
- Harry Millner

Hi there, hope you're doing good today!

Before I start the actual post, here's something that I would really like to know:
Being a creative and curious person, I always wanted to do something apart from my regular college / work life. While I did do lifestyle blogging through my first year of management, I realized it was difficult to manage two widely different fields. But, I didn't want to give up on blogging completely, so I found a way out by starting this blog: TheHRConnect - Through this website I'm going to link my professional and academic experiences with my love for writing and exploring new things! So be ready for some very informative as well as fun posts, every week.
For all those who had been following me on my previous sites, I'm grateful to you'll for being there through that journey, but from those learnings about blogging, here's my new version, so do stay connected here :))

Well, we all belong to a generation which thrives for 'more'. May it be more success, more money, more work-life balance, more adventure, anything more. We all dread monotony, infact we should. Apart from the Saturday nights that we all long for after the week's hard-work, there's always this zing of 'I want to do something more, something really different', that may have crossed your mind sometime or the other. This is when some individuals opt for freelancing their talents, apart from their well-paying jobs, and either enjoy following their passion and/or earn a few more bucks!
Could Co-relate? Yes, I guess.

Multi-tasking is going to be a game-changer for the GenX (onwards), but it is very crucial to handle both the worlds smartly and plan out schedules keeping your job and other responsibilities in mind. You could either choose a common platform which brings the two activities closer or you could be a weekend business person, the latter being the best option. For instance, one of my close acquaintance's, has his job from Monday-Friday and the weekends, he turns into a Social Media Activist considering his enthusiasm for social media marketing, so that's how he handles it.

While choosing your field for freelancing, make sure that there are no actual professionals hired for it. A simple example, if someone wants to design posters for his/her cafe, he/she may not give a job to a graphic designer but simply hire a project-based freelancer who would do the same for him/her. That's how this will work in increasing your work's demand.

The biggest advantage that such multi-tasking activities has is that, it doesn't call for excessive capital or any major investments as such. Plus, if it is something that you love to do, be it photography or singing or trekking or fitness, any work in that particular field is only going to make you relax whenever you do it and perform your job responsibilities with more productivity. So keep in mind to choose that 'extra' field as the one that makes your stress-free, this is very very important while planning things out, it makes all the difference.

So, go ahead, keep yourself motivated to do more!

This was all about what I learnt till now about multi-tasking and hope this has been a fun read for you! Stay tuned for posts every week and you could subscribe at TheHRConnect by dropping your email on the Home Page.

Much Love, Gratitude and Positivity.
