How Spending Time with Your Own-Self can Improve You!
Hello!! Festivities have left all the Positive Vibes around and its time to have immense fun with family, friends and closed ones to freeze all those moments into gleeful memories. Its the 'togetherness' which is the main reason for all these celebrations. While we all are so accustomed to spending time with others, I'm sure very few of us have been all alone, all by one's self and enjoyed that time as much as the time enjoyed when you are around people. Often, someone who spends time 'alone' is taken to be an introverted and a lonely person, but that is certainly not the case, even the extreme extroverts can take time off, be themselves and enjoy thoroughly.
I can say this, with my own experience and through psychological facts that, spending time with one's own self can improve you, it can improve your perspective and your productivity. Spending time with yourself can teach you things about yourself, for a simple reason, you have your own thoughts and opinions speaking, and nobody else's, which is not the case when you are around people. When you take a deeper understanding of yourself, you will be at ease to project your nature and set your standards of expectations.
When you are alone, in a peaceful place, like your favourite cafe, or favourite spot in college, or just in your own room, doing things you love, like reading or listening to music of your own choice, ordering and eating food without sharing, going to new places, going for a movie alone, writing things down in your diary, your goals, your to-do lists, your life-plans, you will be extremely motivated, or rather self-motivated to achieve those things that you listed and with a positive and happy mind-set. Hence, it again improves you in a way.
If you want to get regular with spending time all by yourself, pick up a hobby which you will soul-ly do only by yourself. Be it your evening runs, or drawing, or gardening, or cooking, or watching 'artsy' movies and plays, anything that makes you happy, just make sure you do it regularly and do it all by yourself. Over a period of time, it will sort of become a form of 'meditation' for you and will constantly look forward to doing that hobby every now and then.
More importantly, it is about falling in love with yourself over and over, forgiving yourself for something that didn't go your way and being grateful for all that you have been blessed with. These 3 things have immense positive impact on how the next course of your life will be, because, you are just listening to your inner soul and channelizing thoughts in the correct direction. Now, isn't having a better positive outlook about your own self another way of improving yourself? Think about it, if you enjoy being with yourself, why in the world would you need anyone to appreciate your existence?
That hashtag #SoloTrip is a storm on Social Media. I'm sure you've liked numerous pictures about the same, have that urge to go for that bag-packing solo trip, read posts about the places which are best for solo trips, but when will you make it happen? I guess while reading this post itself you should get on-to making your bookings!
Hope you have liked this post and comment down below if you have experienced the simple joy of spending time all by yourself doing things that you love. For me, writing things and sharing blogs with you all is my source of 'Me Time', and I'm glad about the fact that I'm motivated enough to keep on posting a blog every weekend.
Much Love, Gratitude and Positivity.
