Vocabulary for your CV - Common Words and Competencies!
Hello!! It's a long weekend and I'm assuming everyone's out for some plan away from the city. But for those who are at home glued to screens, here's one idea to get that 'organize yourself' to-do list on, this weekend. Going by the title of this blog-post, I'm taking this platform as an opportunity to share my views and ideas about the words - verbs, adjectives and the likes, that you must include in your CV and / or Resume to make it more effective in terms of your choice of words!
As learnt, it is best if you start your sentences about Key Responsibilities in the Work Experience section with a Verb.
For Example:
Work Experience:
Organisation: ABC Co. Ltd.
Designation: Marketing Manager
Duration: June 2016 - Present
Key Responsibilities:
Following, one of the most important parts of any CV and/or Resume is to describe yourself, be it in the form of the 'Objective Statement' or 'Skills' that you have to add in the write-up. Your description essentially talks about your competencies. Hence, here's a list of competencies that you may add in your CV / Resume to make your write-up look more informative and structured:
Its true that after all these years of education and gaining knowledge, we get jobs based on a 2-Page Document, so might-as-well make it stand out and worth a read. Choose your words wisely, they can make or break your career!!
